NEET Exam

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET is an entrance examination in India, for students who wish to study any undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) medical courses or post graduate courses (MD/MS) in government or private colleges in India. NEET examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. As per Government of India, it is a mandated requirement to qualify NEET Exam to study medical courses in India and abroad.

Detail 1: About NEET Exam

A total of 200 questions appear ,out of which 180 multiple choice questions must be answered in the NEET exam from Physics , chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology)
  • Every question has four options with single correct answer.
  • For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks.
  • For each incorrect response 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
  • More than one answer indicated in a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
  • Duration of the paper would be 3 hours 20 minutes

Maximum Marks is 720. The candidate can opt for question paper in either of the following languages: Hindi/ English/ Gujarati/ Marathi/ Oriya/ Bengali/ Assamese/ Telugu/ Tamil/ Kannada/ Urdu.
  • 1. The candidate must have completed 17years of age as or on December 31,2023
  • 2. The candidate must have passed class 12th examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, and must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually.
  • 3. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in HSC examination is 40% marks.
  • 4. The candidate applying for NEET must be an Indian citizen.
  • 5. There is no NEET upper age limit restriction until the Supreme court rules on it.
  • 6. Candidates failing to meet the above mentioned criteria shall not permitted to apply for NEET.
  • 7. The applicants maximum number of attempts is unrestricted.
